Quality of shaped frames measured daily
The quality of our uPVC Shaped Window and Door Frames along with excellent customer service are high on our list of priorities at Universal Arches. Quality is currently at an all-time high.
We have held ISO Accreditation continuously since 2004, with the most recent audit having been carried out in April 2021. Our two Quality Controllers use the ISO standard to monitor the quality of the uPVC Profile Bending process daily from start to finish.
Better quality of Welded joint on uPVC shaped frames
We take great pride in ensuring that the welded finish forms a neat pencil line and have invested in a 4 Head uPVC Welding Machine, the Wegoma WSA-4, which boasts the latest inline welding technology currently on the market. This will ensure we continue to provide an even better quality of welded joint. The new Welder will add more capacity and consistency while helping us to speed our workflow through the factory in St Helens, allowing our Bending Fabricators more time to concentrate on forming perfectly shaped windows and door frames.
How are uPVC windows welded?
To do this, a heated metal plate within the Welding Machine melts the surfaces of the uPVC and once they reach the perfect temperature, the hot plate is removed and the two edges to be joined are brought into contact to form the neat weld. This process ensures the joints are incredibly strong and secure.
