CAD Drawings have been used at Universal Arches since 2007, to create the design for all uPVC arched, gothic and angled windows manufactured by ourselves in St Helens.

Our in-house CAD Designer has over 15 years’ experience in uPVC Bending. By producing accurate 2D drawings, our processing team can visualise the construction of every shaped window or door frame, which helps improve accuracy. Some of our customers prefer to supply us with a shaped template, whilst others prefer to receive our CAD drawings, which we supply free of charge. Get in touch with Universal Arches

What does a CAD drawing do?

CAD drawings help by creating a design in either 2D or 3D. When Universal Arches is asked to manufacture a uPVC arched window, gothic window or angled window, rather than spend time hand drawing the template, CAD drawings produce a template which is of a much better quality, resulting in increased productivity.

Having invested in Computer-Aided Design consistently since 2007, Universal Arches has been able to bend a wide range of uPVC profile to shape better quality windows and door frames.

 

 

 

Is CAD drawing better than hand drawing?

CAD drawing is faster and more accurate than hand drawing, which in turn helps Universal Arches achieve shorter lead times. The advantages of using CAD drawings in the shaping of uPVC profile are:

• More accuracy, so our windows and door frames are of a higher quality
• Drawings are produced in less time, resulting in shorter lead times
• Fewer errors in manufacturing, so our windows are of a better quality
• Our customers can visualise how the shaped frame will look
• We can supply an accurate glass template for you to send directly to your glass supplier
