Arched Windows are one of our specialities. Universal Arches based in St Helens, manufacture made-to-measure arched window frames with an arched or swept head, in one-off designs, on behalf of our customers who are manufacturers of uPVC windows and doors. Universal Arches offer a wide range of profile options, or we will also accept profile supplied by you and our qualified production team will bend the frames to the shape of your templates.

Using in-house CAD drawings for accuracy, the radius of the swept or arched head will be calculated. The Arched windows are welded and hand polished during manufacture, to ensure there are no visible joints, creating a feature window with a perfect finish. Thermally Efficient Arched Windows 

Modern arched windows are energy efficient, offering cost-effective thermal insulation with low U-Values. We manufacture arched or curved windows on behalf of manufacturers of traditional square or rectangular windows. 

Arched window frames or windows with a swept head have been popular in buildings since Roman Times, adding character and making buildings look a little different. A semi-circular window arch was often constructed to spread the weight of the building without the need for a supporting lintel. More recently, arched windows are often installed in homes to emphasise the height of an opening and to make the building have a feeling of grandeur and elegance.

uPVC arched windows offer many benefits. They are easy to maintain, waterproof, durable, secure and stylish. The majority of the profile we use in the manufacture of arched window frames has been made from recycled uPVC and as the recycling process allows the same product to be recycled up to 10 times, one single window or door can effectively have a life span of up to 350 years.

At Universal Arches, our arched window frames are available in a wide range of colours, including White, Cream, Light Grey, Anthracite Grey, Light Oak, Chartwell Green and Black. We can also offer one colour inside your home, with a different colour outside. Each of the uPVC colours are available in a smooth finish or with an authentic woodgrain finish which closely replicates timber, but without the need for the regular maintenance of a wooden window.
