Shaped Door Frames

Universal Arches manufacture made-to-measure angled, curved and circular door frames in one-off designs, to suit individual projects.

To achieve a perfect finish, we weld then hand polish our frames during manufacture, to ensure there are no visible joints. We use in-house CAD drawings to accurately calculate the radius of the angled frame. The bending machine is then configured accordingly to achieve the perfect Arch, D shape or Angled door frame. uPVC shaped door frames are easy to maintain. They are also durable and secure. We manufacture bespoke door frames to suit a wide range of uPVC and Composite front doors or a set of double doors. The door frame can be supplied in the same colour as the door itself, or in a contrasting colour to make a feature of the framework. We can also offer one colour inside your home, with a different colour outside.

Each of the uPVC colours are available in a smooth finish or with an authentic woodgrain finish which closely replicates timber, but without the need for the regular maintenance of a wooden window.

A door frame is the structure that the door leaf is fitted to and provides a solid structure to house the hinges and locking mechanism. Door frames are not designed to be load-bearing, so a lintel is often required to support the door and shaped frame.
